Alcedo Travel Sharps Container – A Compact Option for Used Needles
Packing injectable medication also means planning where used needles will go. The Alcedo Travel Sharps Container gives you a dedicated place for small sharps while you’re away from home, whether you’re spending the day ashore, staying in a hotel or taking a road trip.
Each container measures approximately 3.5 x 0.98 x 2.52 inches, making it small enough to tuck into a medication bag or daypack. Alcedo describes the construction as puncture- and impact-resistant, with a temporary closure between uses and a permanent lock for final disposal.

Check That It Fits Your Supplies
Alcedo lists compatibility with standard insulin pen needles, syringe needles and lancets. The small opening and capacity make checking your specific supplies worthwhile before a trip: the manufacturer says it does not accommodate whole syringes, injection pens, pen needles with their covers or tattoo needle cartridges.
Follow the container and medication-device instructions, keep it out of reach of children and stop using it at the marked fill line. Arrange proper disposal through an appropriate collection program or your destination’s guidance.
