The JMFONE Universal Travel Adapter combines one universal AC outlet with two USB-C ports and two USB-A ports in a compact adapter that can be used on cruises and throughout much of the world.

One AC Outlet + Four USB Charging Ports
The JMFONE provides five connections:

- Two USB-C ports rated up to 5V/3A each
- Two USB-A ports rated up to 5V/2.4A each
That’s enough connections for phones, watches, earbuds, tablets, cameras, power banks and other common travel electronics while still leaving an AC outlet available for another compatible device.
This isn’t a high-powered USB-C laptop charger like some newer GaN options, but for typical cruise-cabin charging, four USB ports can handle a lot of gear.
Should Work on Royal Caribbean and Celebrity Cruises
This particular configuration is interesting because products that add several charging connections often use a power-strip design or provide multiple AC outlets. Those configurations can be problematic under Royal Caribbean’s current restrictions.
The JMFONE takes a different approach: one AC outlet plus exactly four USB charging ports.

This configuration appears to line up well with Royal Caribbean’s current charger guidance.
That’s notable because finding a compact charger with only one AC receptacle and several USB ports is more difficult than it sounds. Many otherwise appealing charging products split the AC connection into multiple outlets.

Works with Both North American and European Cruise Cabin Outlets
Don’t let the “universal travel adapter” name make this seem like something that’s only useful for international travel.
The JMFONE has retractable plugs for both North American Type A and European Type C outlets.
That makes it especially useful on cruise ships.
You can plug it into the standard North American outlet in your cabin just like a conventional charger. If your cabin also has a European Type C outlet, you can use that instead and put an otherwise unused outlet to work.

That flexibility is one of the biggest advantages of this adapter. You don’t have to think of it as a Europe-only accessory. It can serve as your primary charger at home, in a North American cruise cabin or when traveling internationally.
One Adapter for More Than 200 Countries
The JMFONE includes retractable Type A, Type C, Type G and Type I plugs.
Those plug configurations cover destinations throughout North America, Europe, the UK, Australia and many other parts of the world. JMFONE says the adapter can be used in more than 200 countries and regions.
That makes it especially useful when a cruise is only part of a longer international trip. The same charger you use in the cruise cabin can also travel with you to hotels before and after sailing.
Important: This Is Not a Voltage Converter
The JMFONE changes the plug configuration but does not convert voltage.
The adapter itself is designed for 100-250V input. Anything connected to its AC outlet must also be compatible with the voltage supplied by the wall outlet.
When using a 220-240V European outlet, check the device or power supply for an input rating such as 100-240V before plugging it in.
This is especially important with hair dryers, curling irons, straighteners, steamers and other higher-powered appliances. Some products are designed only for the voltage used in the country where they were sold.
Devices connected directly to the JMFONE’s USB ports receive the low-voltage USB output supplied by the adapter itself.
Bottom Line
The JMFONE Universal Travel Adapter packs a useful combination of features into a very small package: one AC outlet, two USB-C ports, two USB-A ports and worldwide plug compatibility.
For cruisers, the ability to use it with either a standard North American outlet or a European Type C cabin outlet is a particularly useful feature.

Many cruise cabins have a common problem… lack of outlets. This has generally gotten better with newer ships, but can still be an issue. Even newer ships that have more cabin outlets, the outlets can be placed in such a way as to limit their usability. If two outlets are too close together… you can only use one.
