Luggage Tags for Cruise Ship Essentials for NCL, Princess, Carnival, Royal Caribbean and Celebrity Cruise Necessities by SEAVILIA

I highly recommend cruise luggage tag holders. These are sturdier and more secure than tape or staples. Having these also means you don’t need to carry along… tape or staples. These also keep your tags dry (and readable) in the event of rain. Because your tags are more likely to stay on, you’re less likely to have delayed luggage on the ship. Size of these varies based on cruise line. Look for one that’s compatible with your cruise line.

If you’re flying to your embarkation port I don’t recommend putting cruise tags on your luggage until after your flight. That’s especially true if you’re taping and stapling vs using luggage tags. Luggage tag holders would probably make the flight okay, but, to me, there’s no sense subjecting these to the wear and tear of airline luggage handling.

Print and fold (or cut) your printable luggage tags at home, put them in holders and pack. Put on the night before you cruise and you’ll all set.

Hands on Review: HOXIS Mesh Beach Bag!

Prior to a recent cruise we decided to up our beach game bag. We really didn’t have a travel beach bag per se. We we would use whatever we happened to have with us and… sometimes that wasn’t pretty.

When I started looking for a beach tote I had a couple of things in mind.  First, I wanted something compact enough that it didn’t take too much room when it came time to pack. Second, I wanted a mesh bag so sand could easily be removed.

After some searching I landed on the HOXIS Mesh Tote. It fit my two main criteria, looked good and was well priced. We went with gray but it’s available in a number of colors.

Towel Bands Or Clips? We have used both towel bands and clips extensively on cruises and beach vacations. In my opinion having one or the other is a must have. These are monsters!

Compared to the average hook magnets that we’ve seen people use for cruising. Including  the ones we’ve been using… these are monsters. They are chunky (but still small and easy to pack). Regularly carrying a luggage scale has saved us money (in over weight fees) and time and frustration since we don’t have to re-pack at the ticket counter.

One frustrating part of this is carrying a scale only to have the batteries go dead.

I picked up this scale because it’s battery free! That means no worrying about running out of batteries.

There’s a slider on the side. Before using the scale you just slide that slider several times. That generates enough energy to power the scale for long enough to weigh bags.  There’s obviously a small battery or some other such magic that holds the small amount of energy needed for this process but the bottom line is that a few slides of the slider and this thing is always ready!

Compared to the average hook magnets that we’ve seen people use for cruising. Including  the ones we’ve been using… these are monsters. They are chunky (but still small and easy to pack). More About Travel Routers:

Travel routers are generally small devices that allow you to create a small Wi-Fi network.

The problem with traditional Wi-Fi routers is that they don’t know how to handle “captive networks”. Captive networks are networks that require you to log in before you can access the internet. Many publicly available WiFi networks are considered captive networks. That includes most hotels and cruise ships.

Travel routers are (or at least should be) designed to handle captive networks. You basically log in to the router through a web browser and then log into the captive network using the router’s settings.

Carnival, NCL, Princess, MSC (and more) Cruise Luggage Tags, 6 Count

I highly recommend cruise luggage tag holders. These are sturdier and more secure than tape or staples. Having these also means you don’t need to carry along… tape or staples. These also keep your tags dry (and readable) in the event of rain. Because your tags are more likely to stay on, you’re less likely to have delayed luggage on the ship. Size of these varies based on cruise line. Look for one that’s compatible with your cruise line.

If you’re flying to your embarkation port I don’t recommend putting cruise tags on your luggage until after your flight. That’s especially true if you’re taping and stapling vs using luggage tags. Luggage tag holders would probably make the flight okay, but, to me, there’s no sense subjecting these to the wear and tear of airline luggage handling.

Print and fold (or cut) your printable luggage tags at home, put them in holders and pack. Put on the night before you cruise and you’ll all set.
